Reservation enquiries and Booking/Cancellation Policy.

Booking/Cancellation Policy:

A deposit will be required to secure any booking.  The deposit is £10.00 per person, regardless of length of stay and is deemed to be non-refundable (your attention is drawn to our Cancellation Policy* below).  This may be sent via cheque, made payable to ‘Granlea’ and sent to us at the address on the home page.  A forwarding address will be required with the cheque, to which a confirmation letter will be returned, once the deposit is received.

Alternatively we accept Credit Card details in lieu of a cheque deposit (£10.00 per person as above). These details are essential for any bookings made from outside of the UK.  No deductions will be made to the card at time of booking.  However, our Cancellation Policy* noted below still applies. We regret that there will be a 2% surcharge added to the bill on departure if the balance is paid by Credit Card. This is to cover our bank charges. There is no charge for debit card, cash or cheque payment.  Booking confirmation will be supplied upon request.

*Cancellation Policy:

We try to be fair with regard to cancellations, but guests are politely reminded that we have to cover for loss of income if the room(s) cannot be resold (please remember that this is our livelihood!).  As for any holiday, guests are strongly advised to ensure that they have adequate travel insurance to cover for cancellations. We are happy to supply written details of any cancellation if required for a travel insurance claim.

The deposit is deemed to be non-refundable, unless at least 28 days’ notice of any cancellation is given (7 days’ notice for bookings made within 1 calendar month of arrival date).  If an alternative date can be rebooked, then the deposit will not be forfeited, provided that we have accommodation available.

For reservations made by Credit card, no deduction will be made to the card at time of booking (as already noted above). If a cancellation should occur within the above stated times, then a charge of £10.00 per person plus 2% will be deducted from the card (if an alternative date cannot be sought).  If, in the event of a ‘no show’ and we are then unable to resell the room(s), then the full cost of the first night’s accommodation plus 2% will be deducted from the card. Guests are respectfully advised that by accepting a booking, they are also agreeing to these terms and conditions.

GUESTS ARE REQUESTED TO CONTACT US IMMEDIATELY IF THEY EXPERIENCE ANY UNAVOIDABLE DELAYS ON THE DAY OF THEIR ARRIVAL.  FOR THE COMFORT OF OTHER GUESTS, WE ONLY ACCEPT ARRIVALS AFTER 10PM IN  EXTREME CIRCUMSTANCES (OUR NORMAL CHECK-IN TIME IS BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 4PM AND 6PM).
